The logo brings together two powerful symbols of The Bahamas: the Flamingo, representing the beauty and spirit of our people, and the iconic Abaco Lighthouse, reflecting resilience, guidance, and strength. Together, they tell the story of a nation rooted in heritage and inspired by possibility.

Our 2026 Independence theme: “Celebrating Our Heritage, Shaping Our Tomorrow,” honours the generations who built this nation while encouraging all Bahamians to play an active role in shaping its future.

As we journey toward Independence, let us reflect on our shared history, celebrate our culture, and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
