Minister of Health and Wellness, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville addressed concerns voiced by the Member of Parliament for Long Island on clinics on that island in the House of Assembly on Wednesday.

Darville said, “under the IDB loan facility we have major plans for the renovation of the Dr. David Simms Memorial Health Center. But I also want to speak specifically to three contracts that I’m about to award in Long Island, one for the Simms clinic, one for the doctor’s residence and another one for the Dr. David Simms Memorial Health Center. These three contracts were approved by way of Cabinet and we are about to issue these contracts so the residents of Long Island will know that my visit to Long Island will not be in vain and those repairs are very much on the way.”
