MIYA Water Country Representative Alvaro Ramalho and other officials of the company visited E. P. Roberts and Columbus Primary Schools to spread that message of water conservation.

The students were taught about about water distribution, water leaks and the impact of human activities on water resources. Ramalho said, “The school visits have been met with enthusiastic responses from students, and we’ve been so impressed with their attentiveness and willingness to participate and learn. I felt good knowing these children will be looking out for us all.”

MIYA Bahamas has partnered with the Water and Sewerage Corporation to improve the level of non-revenue water loss. The 2012 agreement was recently extended for four additional years.
