Hundreds Turn Out to Honor Rev Dr CB Moss

Bahamian Media News:

Hundreds of individuals representing a number of churches as well as well-wishers from a number of communities assembled at the Evangelistic Temple church on Collins Ave on Sunday April 30th 2023 to pay tribute and honor community leader and Pastor Rev Dr CB Moss. The atmosphere was soaked in Praise as event attendances sang, danced and worshipped God, all giving thanks to the almighty for all the He has done in the life of Rev Moss.

A number of the nation’s leaders gave personal tributes to Dr Moss, a former Vice President of the Senate including the Hon. Phillip Davis KC, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, former Prime Minister the Most Hon. Hubert A Minnis and former Prime Minister the Rt. Hon Perry G. Christie. Dr Duane Sands, Chairman of the Free National Movement and one of the primary doctors who assisted and oversaw the medical care of Rev Moss, gave a detail report of the medical process Rev Moss endured as a result of his collapse in St Agnes Church during the Majority Rule Service on January 10th 2023. Dr Sands shared how serious and grave Dr Moss condition was, explaining how close to death the well beloved Pastor of the Mt Olive Baptist Church was on that day in January of this year. Dr Moss spent several weeks in a medically induced coma and after a period of time, he was able to be released to continue his recovery at home.

In addition to political leaders, several of our country’s well known Pastors also paid tribute to their fellow ministerial colleague including Bishop Delton Fernander, President of the Bahamas Christian Council, Rev Dr William Thompson, former President of the Bahamas Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention, Bishop Walter Hanchell, President of Great Commissioned Ministries, Bishop Simeon Hall, Pastor Emeritus of New Covenant Baptist Church, Dr David Burrows, Senior Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International, Rev Terrance Morrison, Senior Pastor of Zion Baptist East & Shirley Street and Pastor Mario Moxey, Senior Pastor of Bahamas Harvest Church. Apostle Raymond Wells, Senior Pastor of Living Waters Kingdom Ministries was successful in leading the charge in raising the offering for the evening, resulting in scores of individuals making their way to the alter to generously sow a financial seed into the life of Rev Dr CB Moss.

Music also played a vital role throughout the evening, creating several memorable moments in song by a number of well-known gospel artists representing a carefully selected blend in musical genres which included Cat Island’s very own the Rahming Brothers, upcoming gospel sensations Davian Chase & Eboni Praise as well as well-known Bahamian entertainer Fred Munnings, who performed the International Classic “Life Every Voice & Sing”, one of Dr CB Moss favorite songs. Several other award winning artists also took center stage including Bishop Denczil Rolle & Friends, Rev Christopher Roberts as well as Tamika Taylor who along with Shaback performed the global worship anthem “Never Lost a Battle” by Grammy Award winner CeCe Winans

Pastor Geoff Wood, Senior Pastor of Temple Baptist Church opened the event in prayer and Rev Dr Vaughn Cash, Senior Pastor of the host church Evangelistic Temple gave the official welcome. Pastor Alfred Stewart, Senior Pastor of the New Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church gave the benediction.

The event was produced by Kevin “Minister K” Harris and his new Public Relations and Promotion firm Oracle Media Consultants. Harris also served as Chairman of the organizing committee that also included nationally known gospel recording artist and economist Edison Sumner, President of the Bahamas Gospel Music Awards (BGMA) Travis Edgecombe, well known musician JD Stewart, economist Sharmie Farrington Austin and Senior Pastor of the Providence Baptist Church Rev Clinton Minnis.
