Police are investigating the discovery of a body in the Old Trail Cemetery over the weekend.

Police Press Liaison, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings spoke with reporters about the discovery while at the scene of murder in Yellow Elder on Sunday. She said, “we’re allowing the men from the Criminal Investigations Department to do due diligence as to how it got there, why it was placed there and where we find that persons have breached the law we will do our due diligence and put them before the courts.”

Skippings also appealed to the general public about missing persons. “If you haven’t seen that person face being advertised on television or burial being conducted for someone who you know, I want to encourage you to come forward. This is our country we have to all take responsibility for what is going on.”
