The police also issued a Marco Alert concerning Devin on Sunday. Commissioner Fernander said on Monday, “Marco alerts, as you’re aware, is for young children but this individual is sixteen years but we still used our initiative and said we will send it out because that is a missing person, that still is a child. And we had our missing person flyer that was out and I made the decision yesterday evening to send it out through Marco’s Alert.”

Tashana Thompson used the opportunity of media coverage to send a message to her missing son. She said simply, “please come home. We love you and we miss you. You have everybody crying especially Jody.”
