The 2024-2025 Budget communication is scheduled to be delivered in the House Of Assembly by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Hon. Philip Davis on May 29th.

Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal, the Hon. Keith Bell shared his optimism ahead of the new budget period. He said, “as you all would appreciate, housing is very critical to our plank in our blueprint. But more importantly for every Bahamian to own a piece of the rock and with that combined with Urban Renewal for those who have their homes and their homes need repairs and certainly to ensure that we uplift the spirits of the Bahamian people. Both Urban Renewal and Housing is getting, from all indications, a good share of the budget. So I’m happy to see, so far, the projections.”

Bell become Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal in September 2023 in a Cabinet shuffle announced by Prime Minister Davis.
