A graduation ceremony was recently held for twenty young people who successfully completed the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture’s Job Ready Programme.
Youth Officer and Programme Lead Facilitator, Alexia Rolle spoke with ZNS News on the sidelines of the event. She said, “we know that a lot of young people, they haven’t had many milestones in their lifetime and so we want to mark this as the first milestone for this particular population who is just completing high school.”
Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Hon. Mario Bowleg was in attendance at the ceremony where he delivered remarks. He told attendees, “while the National Job Ready Programme is an ongoing and yearly programme offered by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture this is not just a graduation ceremony. This evening is a testimony to the young people across our nation that they have a chance to move in a positive direction.”
