Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis attended the opening ceremony of the African Export Import Bank Conference underway at the Baha Mar Resort on Thursday evening.

Mr. Davis addressed attendees saying, “we must demand a financial system that is not only inclusive but founded on the unassailable principles of justice and equity. This is a call to action that transcends economic policy. It is a philosophical stance on what constitutes moral fairness in global governance. It is about asserting our inherent right to not only participate in but fundamentally shape the economic frameworks that impact our futures. This battle is not solely for resources or influence but for the very principles upon which we believe the international community should stand, equality, respect and mutual prosperity.”

Also happening on the second day of the conference was a contract signing between the government and the African Export Import Bank for the development of the International Bazaar on the island of Grand Bahama.
