The Bahamas Development Bank (BDB) is in the final stages of securing a $30 million grant from the African Export Import Bank.

BDB Managing Director, Nicholas Higgs recently told reporters, “we are finalizing that contract with the AFRE Export Import Bank for the $30 million and I expect that to be shortly.  And so we are working through the legal documentation, everyone’s on board so we just need to complete that and then the money and resources will be in.”

According to Higgs the grant will be used to assist entrepreneurs across the country.
