The nation’s singing Bishop, Bishop Lawrence Rolle is sounding the alarm on a scam is that being perpetrated in his name.

Bishop Rolle says his phone was hacked and his contacts asked for thousands of dollars.  He told ZNS News, “even though I go to CID ain’t too much of result.  Where do I go?  Because the people are pouring here and I am not getting the money and these people are getting the money.  A lady came the other day and she said I done pay the bill. I say what bill you talking about.  She said and you tell me what to do and I do it.  I said it ain’t me and while I’m speaking to her her phone ring and say you need to pay of the balance.  The lady probably give the people about $3000-$4000.”

While police are investigating this issue.  Bishop Rolle is afraid that this scam will mean the end of his popular feeding ministry.  “Church just out and the babies coming to me…we want our box with our snacks.  And when I see this individual sending message to people who poor, who don’t have anything for a thousand dollars and some people probably done do it.  So we want to put a stop to it.  So if this don’t come to an end then the food program, over thirty plus years, could very well crash if the Lord don’t deliver us.”

Bishop Rolle distributes food to the less fortunate at his church, International Deliverance and Praying Ministries on Second Street.
