Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin recently gave an update on the progress in education since the start of the school year.  She also spoke to some of the initiatives the ministry has on its agenda.

Hanna-Martin told ZNS News, “we are about to find more placements for special needs students. We’re forming and honour society for the high flyers.  There’s a lot going on at this time.  But what I think is important to see stronger parental engagement and we show that when the discussion came about whether schools should be open or closed that was pleasantly surprising cause a lot of people had view points on it on that issue and we would love to see more of that in other areas of  the student reality in their educational endeavours.  So there’s a lot going on right now and the best is yet to come.  We feel pretty confident and that.”
