Min. Social Services On Crime Complaints Against Contractors Increase

Bahamian Media News:

Speaking with members of the media, Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting, the Hon. Myles Laroda said, “we need to stop acting like we’re this innocent community who are not familiar with some of the atrocities that has been taken place.  The church is doing its part.  The police is doing its part.  The Department of Social Service is doing its part.  But we echo the sentiments that the family is the strongest foundation.”

Laroda added, “as a family, the family unit and how we communicate, who we expose our children to, the school environment of our kids, who they’re hanging out with, who they are speaking to on social media, all of these things have to be considered.”

The Minister’s comments came a day after the lifeless body of 12 year old Adriel Moxey was found scantily clad with a piece of cloth tied tightly around her neck in bushes along a track road near Faith Avenue.
