Bahamian Media News:

The Bahamas has received four Caribbean Travel Awards for Best Destination, Experiential Destination of the Year for 2025, British Colonial was awarded Caribbean Hotel of the Year and Graycliff received Caribbean Restaurant of the Year.  After a successful 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, the Hon. Chester Cooper spoke with ZNS News outlining his ministry’s goals for 2025.

He said, “we have let the world know that it’s still better in The Bahamas as we focus on new niche markets including sports in paradise and sustainability.  We have for a long time been known as the eco-tourism hub and destination for the Caribbean with sixteen (16) unique island destinations and we are advancing this strategy.  We will continue to do so over the coming years and I hope that the Bahamian people will feel the results in their pockets.”

Cooper said the ministry will seek out new airlift across the USA, Europe  and will focus on emerging markets like the Middle East and South and Central America in 2025.  “We’ll continue to blaze new trails, continue to find new ground and invite existing guests to repeat to enjoy the many things that The Bahamas has to offer.”

The Minister said that the multiple destinations in The Bahamas along with its proximity to the United States gives the country a unique advantage.
