The Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU), representing 18 countries including Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago, convened its quarterly Board Meeting in Nassau, The Bahamas.
This meeting, held from December 4 to December 6, 2024, reflects the CCCU’s ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and engagement across its member countries. As part of its mission, the CCCU Board regularly conducts its quarterly meetings in various locations throughout the Caribbean region. During their time in The Bahamas, the CCCU Directors met with key stakeholders, including Regulators, and local Credit Union Management and Officials, to discuss the continued development and progress of the credit union movement.
A significant highlight of the visit was the Bahamas Co-operative League Limited’s presentation of a donation for hurricane relief to the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions, aimed at assisting Caribbean countries affected by the recent hurricane. The funds have been allocated to the CCCU’s relief pool, ensuring that credit unions in the
affected areas receive the necessary support. Credit Union members in those areas will directly benefit from the funds. This humanitarian effort underscores the CCCU’s dedication to supporting its members in times of need.
