Police are investigating the sexual assault of a woman that occurred at a home in Highbury Park on Thursday morning.

Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Sheria King provided details to reporters about the incident.  She said, “police force and investigators take this message very seriously.  It was a single victim.  The suspect was not known to the victim and they entered into the home and commit this heinous act.  That is all the information that we have right now and we are in the preliminary stages of that particular investigation.”

The female victim was treated at hospital and later discharged.
