A man died on Sunday after being stabbed at his residence on Meadow Street.

Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Sheria King was on the scene where she provided details of the incident.  She said, “when officers arrived on scene officers found an adult male approximately early sixties with a single stab wound to the upper body.  EMS was dispatched and when they came on scene the rendered medical assistance.  However, the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene.”

King appealed to the public for information saying, “we’re asking anyone with any information for this incident to please contact that police as we continue our investigations.

This latest incident brings the number of homicides in the country to eight.
