Twenty new Foreign Service Officers recently completed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ training program.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Fred Mitchell told ZNS News this cohort is a great group of young people. “I’m looking forward to them getting started and I know the Director General needs all the help she can get and of course, in the next fiscal year we’ll be recruiting once again.”
New Foreign Service Officer, John Bridgewater spoke about his experience in the program. He said, “I learned a lot abut foreign diplomacy and what our country is doing on the international stage. A lot of people just hear about the foreign service, they see a lot of the press release but they don’t really understand what the country and representatives are doing abroad.”
Simultaneously with the graduation ceremony the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dedicated their training institute in honour of Alrae Ramsey.
