Another Bahamian has risen to the ranks of executive management at Albany Bahamas, as the resort continues its efforts to give Bahamians opportunities to lead the company.
Maneiko Marshall has been promoted to Director of Service and Personnel Development. In this leadership role, Mr. Marshall will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of training programs to improve employee skills and service quality at Albany Bahamas.
Working directly with his colleagues, Mr. Marshall will work on aligning employee development with Albany’s service standards and strategic goals. As Director he will manage a team dedicated to delivering top quality service at the luxury resort, while ensuring that employees are given opportunities for personal and professional development.
“For the past 12 years, Maneiko has been an integral part of our team, playing a key role in running our operation with passion, dedication, and expertise,” said Ivan Haller, Albany’s Vice President.
“His leadership and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping our success.”
In September of 2024, Albany Bahamas took a bold step that cemented its efforts to nurture talent and leadership skills. Chef D’Angelo Charlton was named Executive Chef at the resort. Since then, Chef D’Angelo has successfully led Albany’s culinary team to new heights. He oversees all dining experiences, menu development and culinary for five restaurants and several other food and beverage outlets on the property.
Chef D’Angelo’s passion and initiative helps to drive Albany’s restaurant portfolio, and he is currently preparing to open the resort’s sixth restaurant, offering another fine dining experience option to guests.
As Mr. Marshall now joins the ranks of management, Mr. Haller said his promotion is well-deserved, and sets the tone for other employees to see themselves in leadership positions at Albany.
Mr. Haller added: “We look forward to pushing the boundaries even further at Albany, setting new standards, and continuing to elevate our service experience for our valued members and guests. The future is bright, and we are ready for new heights!”
