During his contribution to the mid-year budget Member of Parliament for Central and South Abaco, the Hon. John Pinder spoke of the thriving economy on that island.
He said, “from 2023 to 2024 we’re up 11.9% in air arrivals, that’s almost 12% up in one year and we are still missing some of the key components like Treasure Cay Resort, like the Hope Town Harbour Lodge.”
The Member of Parliament appealed to Bahamians to invest in Abaco. “I reach out to all Bahamians across this country if you’re looking for an investment come invest in Abaco. Come build some apartments, come build some housing, come maybe put your business in Abaco. There is many, many things that can benefit all Bahamians, not to mention our proximity to Grand Bahama which is also on the move. The north is definitely on the move.”
The mid-year budget was passed in the House Of Assembly on Monday.
