Anne’s Town Clinic Re-Opening

Bahamian Media News:

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Anne’s Town Clinic on Wednesday to mark its reopening after undergoing renovations.

Minister of Health and Wellness, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville said, “from day one the Davis led administration announced that health care would be a national priority. Since then we have remained focused in delivery results and working diligently to ensure that Bahamians throughout our archipelago have access to safe, comprehensive health care services in their respective communities.”

Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis said that the opening of the clinic is not about political promises. He said, “it’s about people’s lives. People who deserve to be treated with dignity. People who deserve care that’s consistent, local and humane. This clinic in Anne’s Town has been modernized, not refurbished, but modernized. It’s been equipped to deliver 21st century primary care.”

Mr. Davis also said, “the infrastructure is strong. The technology is up to date and the services will now reach more people, more quickly with fewer barriers.

The Anne’s Town Clinic was opened in 1979. The clinic now offers extended hours, maternal and pediatric care. It is expected that 500-600 patients will be served every month.
