Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources, the Hon. Vaughn Miller, along with Minister of State for the Environment, the Hon. Zane Lightbourne and Permanent Secretary David Davis, on Monday welcomed Dr. Russell Reichelt AO, Australian Sherpa to the High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy (High-Level Ocean Panel), Australian High Commission. The visit provides for in-person expert engagement between Australia and The Bahamas on oceans and reefs, and broader environmental and climate change policy. Dr. Reichelt was accompanied by Ms. Melissa Mitchell, Deputy Australian High Commissioner, and Dr. Luke Hynes-Bishop, Climate Change Councillor, of the Australian Embassy in Mexico City. Dr. Bishop has responsibility for Latin America and the Caribbean.
