Bahamas Business And Investment Forum Opens In New York

Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis was the keynote speaker on the first day of the 2nd annual Bahamas Business and Investment Forum in New York City on Thursday.

Mr. Davis told prospective investors that The Bahamas is a stable democracy that is open for business. He said, “certainty in our governance, certainty in our legal framework, certainty in our business environment and certainty in our direction as a nation committed to stability, integrity and sustainable growth.”

The Prime Minister also touted some of the efforts of his administration that would attract investors to our shores. “We’re modernizing infrastructure, digitizing services, upgrading energy systems and removing outdated bureaucratic hurdles. All to ensure that our investments in The Bahamas are not only secure but positioned to grow.”

The Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, Wendall Jones also addressed the forum on Thursday. He said, “The Bahamas is good for business and the opportunities abound for those who seek progress and wholesome investments.”

This year’s Bahamas Business and Investment Forum ends on May 30th.
