The National Training Agency (NTA) in collaboration with the National Apprenticeship Programme held a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of construction sector trainees under the National Training Agency, Friday, August 1, 2025.
The NTA collaborated with the National Apprenticeship Programme and the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute to provide the best trainers.
The initiative is a major step forward in preparing young Bahamians for gainful employment within the construction industry.
A statement from the Ministry of Labour and the Public Service submits that the graduates have completed five to six weeks of rigorous training and are now equipped with the skills necessary to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Mr. Turrell Deveaux was named the top student; he received a full scholarship from Synergy Bahamas.
The graduates were presented with their certificates. Two students signed contracts for employment after the ceremony.
