The Gaming Board for The Bahamas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). The MOU aims at strengthening a framework for the exchange of information on money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing. It will further assist with monitoring activities and transactions carried out at local casinos, brick and mortar gaming institutions and online gambling activities. The FIU is responsible for receiving, analyzing, obtaining and disseminating information that relates to or may relate to the proceeds of crime to combat financial crimes. The MOU was signed at the Gaming Board office on Collins Avenue on Monday, September 2, 2025.
