Governor General, Her Excellency the Most Hon. Dame Cynthia A. Pratt attended the Induction Service for the first female Bishop of The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Island Conference of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas, Rev. Claire K. Robinson, at Wesley Methodist Church, Malcolm Road East on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Esther Joy Sargent was also inducted as Vice President of Conference. Also attending the event was Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, the Hon. I. Chester Cooper; wife of the DPM, Mrs. CeciliaCooper; Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting, the Hon. Myles LaRoda and other senior government officials and religious leaders.
