The Department of Rehabilitative/Welfare Services launched its annual Rehabilitation Month for November 2025 in a press conference, October 31, 2025 at the Department of Social Services, Sunshine Plaza, Baillou Hill Road.
Slated for November are: Church services, November 3, at Abundant Life Chapel, Abundant Life Road; and a Psychological First Aid Trauma Intervention Workshop, two-day event, opening November 13, 2025, at Social Services, Sunshine Plaza, Baillou Hill Road offices.
The Rehabilitative/Welfare Services department promotes the National Parenting Programme committed to empowering parents for their roles through education and training to help build stronger families. The programmes provides parents with information to nurture a deeper understanding and appreciation for good family life; greater understanding between parents and children; and the support for parents to play a more active role in the children’s educational process. Support and encouragement are given within a non-judgmental environment where parents can freely express themselves.
Regular classes are held: Community-based Parenting (at PACE); National Parenting Programme (NPP) Parenting Education; NPP Anger Management; Anglican Diocese Parenting Education; Parenting Support Group; Anger Management Peer Support; Private Counselling Sessions for Parenting Education and Anger Management; Individual, Family, Marital, Group and Grief Counselling.
