Baha Mar Senior Vice President, Robert Sands recently spoke with reporters about occupancy numbers at the resort.

Sands expressed excitement at the first quarter for 2026. He said, “so things look fairly positive for certainly the rest of this year and the first quarter of next year. Notwithstanding that Melissa dampened the momentum we had but we thank God that damage has been minimal. Our hearts and prayers are for those in competitive country of Jamaica and the other Caribbean islands, but I think tourism is a very resilient industry and I think all of us will benefit from momentum going forward.”

The Senior Vice President also shared some of the initiative at the resort aimed at enhancing visitor experience. “We’re opening a new restaurant this month and then we’re always look to improve capital initiatives and refresh elements here at Baha Mar on and ongoing basis,” Sands said.
