Upgrading And Maintenance Of Defence Force Vessels

Bahamian Media News:

Royal Bahamas Defence Force Commodore, Floyd Moxey spoke with reporters on Sunday about the need to upgrade and maintain the force’s vessel. He and Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe were at the base witnessing the HMBS Rolly Gray, HMBS Arthur D. Hanna and the HMBS Cascarilla boarded onto a transport ship to be taken to the Netherlands for maintenance.

Moxey said the RBDF will need to spend approximately $50 million in the next five to ten years on its fleet. “At least to effectively patrol these waters we need these patrol craft. And like I said, we hope to have the first one back in about six months and the other two within a year or so.”
