A man lost his life in a traffic accident on Milo Butler Highway on Wednesday afternoon. The man was driving a blue compact vehicle traveling on the northbound lane when the he lost control, collided with another vehicle and overturned into bushes near the southbound lane.
Assistant Superintendent Lakeisha Sawyer of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Traffic Division was on the scene where she provided details to reporters. She also admonished members of the motoring public to pay attention to speed limits and to drive with caution.
Superintendent Sawyer outlined some of the initiatives the force has advanced to educate the public about driving with caution. She said, “we have given out flyers on weekly basis. We have made public announcements. We just want to advise the public to safely. It’s going to be to save your life and other road users.”
According to police speed was a factor in this accident.
