Leading telecoms provider, BTC is reaffirming its commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and national pride with a $25,000 Title Sponsorship of the Bahamas National Frank Pancho Rahming All Schools Track & Field Championships, set for April 14–17. For the first time ever, this milestone event will unite primary, junior, and senior athletes from 150 schools across 12 islands—bringing together more than 2,000 student competitors on one national stage.
The Championships stand as a powerful symbol of unity, showcasing the spirit of Bahamian youth and the transformative power of sports to inspire, connect, and uplift communities. As Title Sponsor, BTC will enhance the athlete and spectator experience through dynamic activations, digital engagement, and national connectivity designed to keep energy high both on-site and online
At a press conference held on April 9th to officially announce the Games, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Hon. Mario Bowleg said these Championship Games stand as a defining investment in the future of our nation – one that brings together talent from across our islands and reinforces the critical role of sports in youth development.
“By uniting primary, junior, and senior athletes on a single national stage, we are expanding opportunity, strengthening community, and elevating the standard of athletics in The Bahamas,” Bowleg said. “We commend BTC for its commitment as Title Sponsor, a partnership that meaningfully advances our shared vision for empowering young people and driving national progress.”
Also emphasizing the significance of the company’s investment, BTC CEO Sameer Bhatti said, “BTC has always believed in the power of sports to unite, inspire, and transform lives. Our $25,000 investment as Title Sponsor of these Championship Games reflects our continued commitment to youth development, national pride, and economic growth. From CARIFTA, the BTC IAAF World Relays, endorsement contracts for scores of athletes including our current brand ambassador, Devynne Charlton, and now this historic All Schools Championship, we remain dedicated to supporting platforms that bring our nation together.”
As title sponsor, BTC will play a significant role in enhancing both the athlete and spectator experience through a series of activations leading up to and during the event.
These include a national pep rally, a Family Islands Coach Shout-Out digital series, and a fully branded on-site BTC Activity Center, designed to drive engagement and connectivity throughout the Championships.
Additional fan-focused experiences will include:
- Live broadcasts and remote coverage
- Charging stations and connectivity support
- Interactive activations, giveaways, and prizes
BTC will also deliver services to ensure seamless communication and engagement for athletes, families, and supporters across the islands.
With strong national participation and multi-island representation, the Frank Pancho Rahming All Schools Track & Field Championships are expected to generate widespread engagement both on-site and across digital platforms.
