Press Release
Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) is aware of what appears to be industrial action taking place by members of the taxi union at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA). Several operators have attempted to block the vehicular entrance to the U.S. Departures Terminal.
Presently, we are working directly with our airport partners including the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Road Traffic Department to safely remove vehicles that are obstructing the transportation lanes at LPIA.
At this time, airport operations within the terminal continue as normal. NAD’s Operations, Parking & Ground Transportation and Guest Services teams are on the ground assisting passengers and helping to minimize disruptions where possible.
Passengers travelling through LPIA are encouraged to follow the instructions of airport personnel and law enforcement officers during their travels.
Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
