The incoming Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB), Sandy Morley, addressed staff members at a welcome ceremony held on Thursday.
As this new chapter unfolds, BCB Acting General Manager Opal Roach told employees to remember they are the Corporation’s greatest asset. She said, “it is your dedication, professionalism and hard work that keeps the Corporation operating everyday. Without you, and everyone of you, there would be no Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas. Your contributions are valued, appreciated and essential to the continued success.”
During his address Morley pledged to lead with integrity and collaboration. He said, “I’m excited about the opportunity. I’m excited about the opportunity to lead a corporation with such rich history. I sat in your boardroom a minute ago and I looked at the walls and there were a lot of names that I recognized and its a testament to the expertise that have traversed these doors. And the expertise on whose shoulders you stand and whose shoulders I hope to stand. It is their big steps, big shoes, that we must fill.”
Mr. Morley also toured the BCB headquarters after touring the Grand Bahama facilities the week before.
