Newly elected executives of the Bahamas Fly Fishing Industry Association (BFFIA), led by its President James “Docky” Smith, met with Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Glenys Hanna-Martin, August 5, 2026 at the ministry’s offices.  Also in attendance were Lorraine Armbrister, permanent secretary for Tourism; Earnestine Moxyz, general manager, Tourism; and (via Zoom) Bridgette King, executive director of Global Sales and Marketing for Tourism.  BFFIA represents local Fly Fishing guides, lodge owners and eco-tourism stakeholders, with key focus being local advocacy, training & standards, and conservation.
