Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage the Hon. Leslia Brice and Permanent Secretary Lisa Adderley, joined Director of the Department of Culture Dereka Deleveaux-Grant and other staff members; parents; stakeholders; and hundreds of participants at the 2026 Summer Culture Programme Showcase, on July 31, 2026, at the Church of God Convention Centre, Joe Farrington Road. Also present were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Renewal and Community Relations Montez Williams; and Secretary General of The Bahamas National Commission for UNESCO Deidre Bevans.
The participants displayed their talents and skills learned at the various camps, resulting in more than two dozen performances at that event. Among the artistic expressions displayed included, dance, visual arts, drumming, Junkanoo arts, animation, film making, pageantry, mural painting, fashion, religious culture, fashion and design, limbo dancing, writing books, cultural research, culinary arts and set design; auto mechanics; and band.
