Scores of Bahamians attended the Golden Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the 50th Independence Committee at Collins House on Easter Monday.

Head of the Independence Secretariat, Her Excellency, the Hon. Leslia Brice was at the event and said, “as we celebrate our independence we wanted to ensure that we do something for all different ages and so this event is especially for the kids. Listen, there was a young man that walked in and he said ‘mummy I’m at Disney World’ how amazing is that, just to put smiles on our kids face. We’re celebrating our fiftieth and I just want to say thank you, thank you so much to everyone that supported this event today.”

Among the activities available at the event was face painting, rock climbing, bouncing castles and hop scotch.
