Atlantis Fallout From Milton

Bahamian Media News:

Atlantis Executive Vice President of Administration & Strategic Initiatives, Vaughn Roberts told ZNS News on Thursday that the resort had experienced cancelations due to the passing of Hurricane Milton.

Hurricane Milton reached Category 5 status in the Gulf of Mexico before making landfall on the west cost of Florida as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday.  Milton then made it’s way across the state to the east coast and into the Atlantic Ocean where it caused tropical storm conditions on islands in the northern Bahamas.

Roberts told ZNS News, “September was actually really slow for us compared to September of last year.   And then with the hurricane now we’ve seen a significant amount of cancelations this week.  Again, people are booking within a short window and because of the storm traveling there’ve been some cancelations and its impacted our business.”

The all clear from any effects of Hurricane Milton was given on Thursday afternoon.
