While appearing on the live broadcast of the 2025 Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade on the ZNS Network, Bahamasair Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, Wilfred Mullings shared some of the airline’s plans for 2026.
Mullings said, “we are going through our strategic plan for the next five to six years and automatically expansion is always a part of your strategic plan. We’re looking at a few routes that we’re gonna be tapping into. With the expansion also we’re gonna be looking at increasing out fleet right now. And so we are deep in it right now and so I’m gonna ask the public to stay tuned because there’s some good things and some new routes. Some of the routes was on our drawing board for some time the we’re revisiting. And with the help of the Ministry of Tourism who has been there for us whenever we’re looking into tapping into these new markets.”
According to the Deputy Director the number of passengers choosing to fly on the airline during the holiday season increased. He said, “traffic picked up from the second week in December. We were looking at some heavy loads from then up to, probably, Christmas Eve. Our loads have been tremendous, as usual, that we normally see during this peak season. So we’d like to thank the Bahamian public, again, for putting their travel plans in our hands.”
