Several defendants, including Bahamian officers Elvis Nathaniel Curtis and Darrin Alexander Roker, appeared in a New York Federal Court Tuesday for a status conference on charges of helping traffickers move cocaine from Colombia through the Bahamas to the U.S.
The judge scheduled the next conference for October 24, 2025, where a proposed schedule for motions, hearings and trial will be presented. The judge also paused the Speedy Trial clock until then.
All accused will remain detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, which has been reported to have poor conditions and overcrowding.
