On any given Saturday morning at Windsor Park, you will not just find children learning how to throw a ball or swing a bat. You will find confidence being built, discipline being shaped, and young lives being guided in a positive direction. That is the real mission behind the Mario Ford Baseball Camp, a program that continues to use sport as a powerful tool for youth development and character building.
With the support of Consolidated Water (Bahamas) Ltd. (CWCO), the camp is once again welcoming boys and girls ages 4 to 16 for its 2026 season. The camp, led by former professional baseball player Mario Ford, will run until April 18.
Coach Ford said, “Programs like this are about far more than learning how to hit or throw a ball. They give our children structure, confidence, and something positive to look forward to. We’re shaping attitudes, work ethic, and self-belief.”
He added, “With more support from the wider community, we can reach even more young people and give them something truly meaningful.”
CWCO emphasized that investing in youth development is an investment in the future of the country.
The water supplier’s General Manager, Henderson Cash, said, “Strong communities are built when we invest in our children. CWCO is proud to support this program which has become such a meaningful fixture in the community as it provides structured training, mentorship, and positive guidance for dozens of young athletes every year.”
Sessions take place every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Windsor Park. Parents are encouraged to register their children and become part of a growing community centered around development, discipline, and opportunity.
