The Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality hosted the 2023 Bahamas National Quality Policy Re-engagement Forum under the theme “Strengthening the National Quality Infrastructure through Enhanced Standards and Metrology Services” this week at the Breezes Resort.

Minister of Economic Affairs, Sen. Hon. Michael Halkitis was at the event and addressed attendees. He said, “following the industrial metrologies projects completion we will be moving full speed ahead to ensure that the laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025. To assist with the expansion of this unit we have engaged OCA Global Consultancy who have begun the necessary assessments to facilitate the acquisition of equipment and training of staff while offering recommendations to aid in the closing of any possible gaps.”

Also in country for the event was the Caribbean Development Bank Director of Projects Daniel Best.
