A check presentation ceremony was held in the boardroom of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) on Monday. The BCB partnered with Les Turnquest to present the latest Boatman Concert performed by Kirkland (KB) Bodie and friends.
General Manager, Clint Watson accepted the check presented by Senior Director of ZNS Radio, Dion Morris. According to Watson the money will be used to assist with the BCB’s outreach program. He said, “this will be able to allow us to do what we’ve been doing all last year and into 2025 even greater this year. We’ve been doing a lot of partnerships with civic organizations, adopting schools, children’s homes, feeding homes. This is how we’re able to do what we’re able to do because of people contributing and that’s what we airmark funds from to be able to assist more community projects and we look forward to doing even more of that in 2025 because of successful partnerships like this one.”
The concert was held over the weekend at The Farm and is said to have attacked approximately 5,000 people.
