Kermit Miller is a prominent Bahamian artist whose work transcends mere aesthetics, capturing the profound essence and soul of his subjects. Born and raised in the vibrant culture of The Bahamas, Kermit has spent the past two years honing his craft, drawing inspiration from various sources, including iconic artists like Norman Rockwell, Brent Malone, and Eddie Minnis, as well as family members and fellow Bahamian artists like David Smith. However, it was a tragedy in 2022 that became the pivotal force behind his artistic expression: the loss of his beloved daughter, Ebony Miller, to a drunk driver.

Ebony’s untimely death left an indelible mark on Kermit, transforming his art into a vehicle for grief, healing, and remembrance. Each brushstroke he lays down carries the weight of his sorrow and the love he holds for his daughter. This personal tragedy has become the driving force behind his artistic endeavors, prompting Kermit to delve deeper into his exploration of Bahamian culture and identity.
