BSGC Exuma Road Improvement Project

BSGC Exuma Road Improvement Project

Bahamian Media News:

The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies (BSGC) is carrying out road construction and repairs on the island of Exuma.

President of BSCG Atario Mitchell gave an update on the project. He said, “we’re finishing up on the edge lines. We’re about to approach a dangerous curve so we’re about to put in the double lines where motorist won’t be able to take over, letting them know that they’re approaching a dangerous curve so they need to stay within their lane.”

Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation and Member of Parliament for Exuma and Ragged Island, the Hon. Chester Cooper expressed his pleasure with the progress made on the roads. “I’m told that we will be completing another twenty two plus miles by Christmas. I think that would make the residents and guests on the island of Exuma quite pleased to see that we are steadily making progress to complete all of the roads here in Exuma. The roadworks has been a source of great concern. A lack of road work for maybe twenty years,” Cooper said.

The project is estimated to cost $60 million when completed.
