Press Release
Leading telecoms provider BTC continues its ongoing commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence and celebrating achievements across the organization, hosting its Q3 Top Performer Awards Ceremony on November 19th.
During the ceremony, a total of forty-six employees were celebrated for their exceptional performance and dedication throughout the third quarter of the year.
BTC achieved significant milestones in the third quarter, highlighted by the successful completion of its fiberization project in Grand Bahama. The company also launched groundbreaking technology in Bimini, transforming the island with its BTC Air product which delivers next generation fixed wireless access offering enhanced internet, television, landline, and mobile services.
Additionally, BTC fully renovated and upgraded its retail store on the island, further strengthening its presence and customer experience. BTC also introduced its new “BTC brings the Vibes” campaign during this period reflecting the spirit and passion of the organization, all projects proudly driven by its people.
Each honoree was nominated by their respective managers for consistently surpassing goals, exemplifying BTC’s core values, and contributing to a culture of collaboration and accountability. The quarterly event is part of BTC’s wider employee recognition program — an initiative designed to spotlight outstanding individuals who continue to elevate the company’s standard of excellence.
Each quarter’s awardees represent the best of BTC’s workforce, with all quarterly honorees becoming contenders for the coveted Employee of the Year title, which will be announced in January 2026.
Patrice Thompson, BTC’s Director of People said, “Our people are the heartbeat of BTC. Every quarter, we take time to recognize those who embody excellence – not just in what they achieve, but in how they achieve it. These Q3 awardees are innovators, analytical people, and leaders who make a real impact on our customers and communities. Their passion and consistency inspire us all to keep reaching higher.”
Thompson also emphasized the importance of recognition as a driver of engagement and culture, noting that “Recognizing our team members is about more than awards – it is about creating a culture where people feel seen, valued, and motivated to continue doing their best work. When employees know their efforts matter, the entire organization thrives. Our Q3 honorees continue to show that BTC’s greatest strength lies in its people.”
This quarter’s recognition builds on a strong year of appreciation initiatives, following BTC’s Q1 and Q2 celebrations, which honored dozens of team members for their dedication and performance across multiple departments.
BTC prides itself as one of the country’s top employers through a range of progressive initiatives and policies. Notably, its parental leave policy offers extended paid leave for mothers, fathers, and adoptive parents. The company also supports progressive growth by providing thousands of free courses to employees through LinkedIn Learning.
Beyond its regular quarterly recognition events, BTC recently held a Long Service Awards Ceremony at Government House to honor employees with 30 or more years of service – a powerful reflection of the company’s long-standing legacy and unwavering dedication to its workforce.
As BTC approaches the close of Q4, the company remains steadfast in its mission to foster a workplace where excellence is recognized, and every team member feels empowered to shine.
