Nassau, Bahamas – August 27th, 2024 – BTC strongly supports education, learning, and the upliftment of the nation’s youth. And with just days before public schools reopen for the 2024-25 school year, the company hosted a mega back to school initiative on Englerston Park last Saturday, August 24th.
BTC partnered with Lowes Wholesale, Lightbourne Trading and Commonwealth Brewery to execute a fun-filled and memorable event for school children, as they prepare to return to the classroom next Monday. The students received free food, Vitamalt, and 400 giftbags were dispersed containing school supplies, snacks, and toiletries. Parents who topped-up their mobile devices with $5 and downloaded the MYBTC app were able to secure a free haircut or braided style for their child.
The back-to-school event featured many treats, games, and surprises including demonstrations by the Urban Renewal Band and the Royal Bahamas Police Force’s K-9, Traffic and Mobile Units. The event was also supported by Englerston MP, Glenys Hanna-Martin and members of the Englerston Urban Renewal Programme.
BTC’s Sales Team offered attendees 50 percent off for three months for bundled fiber packages and a representative of BTC’s JUMP program was also on hand to provide more information on this exciting social empowerment initiative, which is expected to offer internet connectivity to families in partnership with the government.
The JUMP initiative is expected to be launched in the coming weeks.
