Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander revealed a rise in car thefts during a press event on Friday.
Fernander said, “all crime is down with the exception of homicide and stolen vehicles. And we believe that the stolen vehicles is up because they are being used in the commission of a number of these serious crimes. And the vehicles of choice that continue to be stolen, the Kia Jeeps and all the Japanese vehicles, the Cube, the Note and the Honda Fit, all of the Japanese vehicles that are being used in the commission of these serious crime.”
