CARIFTA Games Road Closures

Bahamian Media News:

The Royal Bahamas Police Force has announced the closure of roads due to the holding of the CARIFTA Games from Friday April 7th to Monday April 10th at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.

Corporal Patrick Kemp of the Traffic Division said, “there’ll be no vehicle traveling north and south on that road. That’s going to be strictly closed off and only for pedestrians. So you can find adequate parking anywhere on the outskirts except Bahamas Games Boulevard. If you’re not familiar with Bahamas Games Boulevard, it would be where the Hope Center is. A lot of us who are familiar with Road Traffic Department, it would be that thoroughfare.”

Kemp advises motorists to plan their routes in order to avoid the area.
