Press Release
In recognition of International Women’s Day, leading telecoms provider BTC proudly hosted a Paint and Sip Brunch in New Providence, bringing team members together for a morning of creativity, connection, and celebration of the achievements and contributions of women.
As part of its ongoing commitment to giving back, BTC also extended support to several community organisations. Donations of clothing and food vouchers were provided to Families of All Murder Victims (FOAM) to assist families in need. Additionally, essential care items were donated to The Dignified Girl Project and PACE School for Girls, reinforcing our dedication to empowering young women and supporting their well-being.
BTC was also proud to support the International Women’s Day Bahamas Luncheon held in Grand Bahama on March 7, 2026 – an inspiring gathering dedicated to honouring the power, resilience, and impact of women across our community.
Under the 2026 theme “Give to Gain,” the event convened remarkable women who are committed to uplifting one another and driving positive change. Attendees were moved by powerful messages from Ann Marie Davis, Spouse of the Prime Minister and Guest of Honour, as well as special guest Tamara Quant-Moss. Their remarks underscored a shared belief that when women generously share their time, knowledge, and support, the entire community thrives.
From meaningful conversations to music, reflection, and shared purpose, the afternoon served as a powerful reminder that empowering women strengthens families, workplaces, and the nation. BTC team members were also in attendance, proudly supporting this important celebration and the spirit of #GiveToGain.
Indira Collie, Executive Senior Manager, Communications, shared, “International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder of the importance of community, compassion, and collective action. Through initiatives like our Paint and Sip Brunch, our outreach efforts, and our support of national events including the International Women’s Day Luncheon, we aim not only to celebrate women but also to make a meaningful difference in their lives. We are proud to stand alongside organisations that are doing critical work to uplift women and families in our communities.”
Ms. Patrice Miller, Principal of PACE School for Girls, expressed her gratitude, saying, “We sincerely thank BTC for their generous donation of baby items and toiletries in celebration of International Women’s Day. Your thoughtfulness and support for our students are truly appreciated and will make a meaningful difference in their lives.
On behalf of the staff and students of the PACE Program, we extend our heartfelt thanks and look forward to your continued partnership and support.”
Khandi Gibson CEO of Families of All Murder Victims stated, ““When an organization such as BTC partners with FOAM, it goes beyond supporting families of murder victims—it helps uplift the wider community, as there are so many among us who are hurting. Thank you once again for your continued partnership and unwavering support throughout the years.”
BTC remains committed to supporting initiatives that celebrate women, amplify their voices, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
