Enrollment at the school has increased for this school year. School Principal, Avinel Newball-Smith said, “so this year we have 691 students so far that are enrolled, last year we had 662 so that’s a really good thing for us in this small community school. So that’s telling us that they parents are definitely feeling confident in this school and what we are doing here at Cleveland Eneas home of the eagles.”
While at the school, Laroda spoke to sixth grade students telling them, “now you’re reaching the part in your education where you start playing for, what we call, all the marbles because this is where leadership sets in. You set the tone from grade six going into grade seven. Some of your will be taking BJCs in grade eight. Some of you will be taking BGCSEs in grade eleven. And so the foundation that you learned in grade one, grade two through to grade five you have to put it in in grade six. And just how I told the grade sixes last year, there is no substitute for hard work.”
